Why are there flowers planted in a skull?
Because the truth is, we were dead — like this skull. But God did something indescribably wonderful. He took our dry bones and breathed new life into them.
Roses don’t bloom in a pile of dead bones. But God promised that He would make us alive again. These flowers are the proof.
In Isaiah 61, we see the beautiful salvation that comes from Jesus. He is the one that comes to make beautiful things out of dead, dirty nothing. We are like this skull, totally dead. Deader than dead. Dead and lifeless. And yet out of this death Christ our Savior brings life. Glory to Jesus.
