The disciples thought this was the end. Jesus had died. He was being buried — shut up in a tomb with a giant boulder blocking the way.
But death could not hold Jesus in the grave. Death didn’t last. It never lasts.
It’s the same with us. Death will not last against us either. That’s why we have the Roman numerals for 23:55 in the bottom right hand corner. Treasure this verse in your heart and remember that death didn’t last against Jesus and it will never last against you.
