We are really hoping we didn't cross a line on this one.
One of the most tragic persons in the Bible is the person of Demas. We see Demas in Philemon 1:24 referred to this as one of Paul's "fellow workers". Yet in the letter to Timothy we see this:
"For Demas, in love with this present world, has deserted me and gone to Thessalonica."
A man once referred to as Paul's fellow worker. A fellow worker of the greatest missionary the world has ever seen, seeing miracles, hearing the gospel preached boldly, praying with tears, this Demas, fell in love with the world and deserted Paul. Deserted the King and went his own way.
