Agape

You may love your friends, your spouse, or your dog. But agape love is the highest form of love.

The Greek word "agape" was used by early Christians to describe the self-sacrificing love of God. When John is telling the first churches that "God is love" he is using the word "agape" there.

Go ape over God’s love for you… because He sure is going ape over you.
